The Waldhausen balance pads support the training of the deep muscles and promote the horse"s coordination. The horse learns to maintain its balance and body tension in a controlled manner on soft, yielding ground. Balance pads can also improve the horse"s body awareness. Young horses in particular benefit from stimulation of their sense of balance, as they are still learning to coordinate their body in a balanced manner under the rider. However, improving balance, coordination and musculature benefits every horse – regardless of age and training level. We recommend a slow introduction. Balance training with pads should not be carried out more than 1-2 times a week, as it is very strenuous for the horse.
