Description
Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognisable blue colour. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture which tastes sweet and naturally stimulates saliva production. The horse will foam more, which makes it accept the bit better. This rust development (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST bit to silver/greyish to brown. The Sweet Iron bit will develop a thin layer of orange/brown rust on the mouthpiece when temporarily not in use. This can be easily removed with a damp cloth.
Sweet Iron bits are suitable for most horses.
